Rev. Dr. Jemiriye Fakunle

“I am still finding out what He is worth, and He keeps being worth more than what I have to give up to know Him.”

Pastor. Author. Bible Teacher. Founder of YETI.

Introduction

I am a pastor, author, and Bible teacher whose ministry helps people know Christ deeply, grow spiritually, and live faithfully as serving disciples in the Kingdom of God.

I currently serve a United Methodist congregation in Illinois and am the author of Understanding the Power of Prayer.

Beyond the local church, I founded YETI, the Young Elites and Trendsetters Initiatives, a Nigerian organization dedicated to forming gifted young adults between the ages of 18 and 25. That work grew from a simple conviction: nations cannot afford to lose the potential of their next generation.

Whether through preaching, writing, teaching, or leadership development, my desire remains the same: to help people know Christ deeply and live faithfully in His Kingdom.

How I came to do this work

I have learned to stay with what God gives.

I was formed in the Nigerian Baptist Convention local church ministries, where prayer was not theoretical and the supernatural was not embarrassing.

From an early age I learned that God was not merely a doctrine to be studied but a living presence to be known.

That conviction has never left me.

It still shapes how I read Scripture, how I pray, how I preach, and how I understand ministry.

Over the years I have returned again and again to one lesson: do not abandon what God has placed in your heart simply because circumstances become difficult.

I have learned to stay with what God gives rather than with what circumstances promise.

And God has proved faithful.

What drives me is simple.

I love God.

I love people.

And I love helping the two find each other.

Everything else grows out of that.

Today I serve a congregation in the American Midwest and devote the rest of my energy to helping people know Christ and make Him known.

Everything I write, preach, teach, and build serves one purpose:
To know Christ and make Him known.
